About
Requirements is an example Claude Code plugin from AWS's Guidance for Claude Code with Amazon Bedrock, published by the AWS Solutions Library. It adds two slash commands that take you from an idea to a product requirements document and a technical requirements document. Your agent asks a few questions in the chat, then leaves the details in a questionnaire you fill in at your own pace. What you can do with it - /prd asks three to five questions about the vision, the problem, the users and what success looks like, then writes PRD_QUESTIONS.md for the details: features and priorities, constraints, scope and metrics. - /prd --process PRD_QUESTIONS.md writes PRD.md, with P0/P1/P2 features, user journeys, constraints, timeline, budget, success criteria, what's out of scope and the risks. - /tech-req reads your PRD if you have one, asks two or three questions (architecture, cloud, framework), then writes TECH_REQ_QUESTIONS.md with only the most relevant options for each remaining decision. - /tech-req --process TECH_REQ_QUESTIONS.md writes TECH_REQ.md: the architecture decision and why, the stack with the alternatives considered, infrastructure and deployment, cost estimates, a roadmap and a decision summary table. - Use /tech-req on its own for a single decision, such as React or Vue for a dashboard, or microservices or a monolith. - It brings two subagents: a business analyst for product discovery and a technology evaluator for the technical choices. How to install it In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add aws-solutions-library-samples/guidance-for-claude-code-with-amazon-bedrock, then /plugin install requirements@aws-claude-code-plugins. AWS's guide also covers giving the same plugins to a whole organization. Good to know - It's commands and subagents for your agent, with no server, account or API key. It writes Markdown files in your project. - PRD.md and TECH_REQ.md can feed the EPCC (Explore, Plan, Code, Commit) workflow plugin from the same marketplace, but it works on its own. - AWS publishes these as example plugins: reference implementations it suggests forking and adapting for your organization before production use.
