About
PM-Skills is an open-source library of product management skills from Product on Purpose, covering the product lifecycle from discovery to iteration. Each skill writes a specific PM artifact, and the library comes with templates, workflows that chain skills together, and sample outputs. What you can do with it - Discover: synthesize interviews, map customer journeys, size markets and analyze competitors - Define: write problem statements, hypotheses, jobs-to-be-done canvases and opportunity trees, and pick a prioritization framework - Develop: draft solution briefs, spike summaries, design rationales and architecture decision records - Deliver: write PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, launch checklists and release notes - Measure and iterate: design experiments, read results, spec instrumentation, grade OKRs, and run retrospectives and pivot decisions - Run a Design Sprint or a Foundation Sprint step by step, and handle meetings, personas, lean canvases and stakeholder updates - Build, validate and improve your own PM skills with its utility skills How it connects - In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add product-on-purpose/agent-plugins, then /plugin install pm-skills@product-on-purpose. That also adds its workflow slash commands and sub-agents. - Other agents can install the skills with npx skills add product-on-purpose/pm-skills, or read them from a clone of the repo. Good to know - Skills hand off to each other, so installing the whole library works best. - Figures in its examples are made up and marked as fictional. - It's open source under the Apache 2.0 licence.
