About
Unity's official plugin for coding agents. It bundles curated Unity skills grounded in Unity's documented practices. When you ask for something in your Unity project, your agent loads the matching skill, or you can pick one from the slash menu yourself. What its skills cover - UI: UI Toolkit, uGUI and IMGUI, with a skill that routes each request to the right framework - 2D: pixel-perfect cameras, tile palettes and rule tiles, sprite atlases, the Sprite Editor and 2D physics - Monetization: Unity In-App Purchasing (subscriptions, receipt validation, migrating from other billing tools) and LevelPlay rewarded, interstitial and banner ads - Live games and multiplayer: Unity Gaming Services backends, Multiplayer Services sessions and Vivox voice and text chat - Rendering: moving from the Built-in Render Pipeline to URP, URP post-processing, Render Graph reviews and custom Shader Graph nodes - Performance: audio, TextMeshPro fonts and WebGL or WebGPU builds - Project setup: new projects, localization, AI Navigation, Unity packages and the Unity CLI How to install it In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add Unity-Technologies/unity-agent-plugin, then /plugin install unity@unity-agent-plugin. Unity also documents installing it in Codex, Grok Build and Antigravity. Good to know - It works with Unity 6 or later. It isn't an Asset Store package, so it doesn't install through the Package Manager. - Many skills drive your open Unity Editor through the Unity CLI. When a task needs it, your agent can install the CLI and the small Unity package it uses. - The skills change your project directly: scripts, scenes and assets. Unity suggests keeping the project under version control and committing before larger changes. - Unity's AI tools are in beta, so features may change.
