About
Salesforce's foundation plugin for building apps and agents on the Salesforce Platform. Open your agent in a Salesforce DX project and the plugin detects the project and your org, then works through Salesforce's validated skills first, the Salesforce CLI second and Salesforce's hosted MCP servers last. You describe what you want in plain words; there are no commands to memorize. What you can do with it - Generate Apex classes and test classes, run tests and anonymous Apex, and debug with logs - Create custom objects, fields, metadata types, settings, tabs, list views, validation rules, value sets and Lightning pages - Build Screen, Autolaunched, Record-Triggered and Scheduled Flows - Write and tune SOQL and SOSL queries, and create, import, export or clean up org records - Retrieve and deploy metadata, build package.xml manifests, validate a deployment and quick-deploy it - Set up permission sets, org-wide defaults and sharing rules, and build reports - Scaffold a new Salesforce DX project, and create scratch orgs and snapshots What's in it - Skills for discovery, environment checks, projects and orgs, Apex, Flow, declarative metadata, data, deploy and retrieve, security and reporting - The salesforce-dev agent, which takes over in Salesforce projects - Slash commands such as /salesforce-development:setup, :status, :org, :login and :discover - MCP servers for Salesforce API and metadata guidance, plus a local host for the Apex and SOQL language servers - Hooks that load your org context when a session starts, gate deploys to production and check Apex before a deploy How to install it You need Node.js, the Salesforce CLI and Python 3.8 or later. Sign in to your org with sf org login web --alias my-org --set-default. Then in Claude Code run /plugin install salesforce-development@claude-plugins-official, or add Salesforce's own marketplace with /plugin marketplace add forcedotcom/sf-skills and install salesforce-development@salesforce. Codex installs it from Salesforce's marketplace too. How it connects It works with the org you signed in to through the Salesforce CLI, which opens your browser to log in. Its MCP servers use that org: SF_TARGET_ORG, or your project's default org. Good to know - A deploy to production goes ahead only after you confirm it, and destructive deploys are checked first. - Usage telemetry is on by default. Turn it off with /salesforce-development:telemetry, SF_DISABLE_TELEMETRY or DO_NOT_TRACK. - Code analysis and Well-Architected reviews are in Salesforce's separate salesforce-code-quality plugin.

Reads only
Reads your Salesforce DX project and the org you signed in to · Runs SOQL queries and reads debug logs · Looks up Salesforce API and metadata guidance
Makes changes · your agent can ask first
Writes Apex, Flows and metadata in your project · Deploys to your org, asking before production · Creates, imports and deletes org records when you ask · Creates scratch orgs and snapshots
