About
Mastercard's own MCP server for Mastercard Developers. It gives your agent the platform's service list, documentation, API specifications and integration guides as tools, so it can answer questions about Mastercard APIs and write integration code from the current docs. What you can do with it - Find the Mastercard services that fit a use case, such as fraud prevention or verifying account ownership - Read a service's documentation overview, one section or a whole page - List the operations in an API specification, then get one operation's parameters and request and response schemas - Pull the OAuth 1.0a, OAuth 2.0 and Open Finance integration guides - Generate integration code from the current specs, such as a request for an Open Finance access token How it connects It runs on your computer with npx -y @mastercard/developers-mcp (Node 18 or later). To keep it on one product, start it with --service=<documentation URL> or --api-specification=<spec URL>; the specification wins if you give both, and either one turns off the service list. Mastercard also offers a .dxt file for Claude Desktop and a hosted version at https://developer.mcp.mastercard.com. Good to know - It reads Mastercard Developers' documentation and API specs. It needs no Mastercard account, sign-in or API key. - Mastercard documents setup for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, VS Code and Cursor.
