Database Design

Database Design is a plugin from Seth Hobson's agents collection (wshobson/agents), a community project. It adds two subagents and one skill for designing the data layer: a database architect for choosing a technology, modeling schemas and planning for scale, a SQL specialist for writing and tuning queries, and a skill with rules for PostgreSQL tables. What's inside - database-architect: recommends a database technology with its trade-offs, models schemas (normalization, NoSQL patterns, multi-tenancy, temporal and hierarchical data), plans indexes, caching, partitioning, sharding and replication, and draws ERDs as Mermaid diagrams. It plans migrations as recommendations rather than running them. - sql-pro: writes and optimizes SQL across cloud and hybrid OLTP/OLAP databases, from analytical and cohort queries to time-series analysis and migrations between databases. - postgresql-table-design (skill): rules for PostgreSQL schemas: primary keys, data types to use and to avoid, constraints, indexing, partitioning and PostgreSQL gotchas, with worked DDL examples. The repository also has install routes for Cursor, OpenCode, Antigravity CLI, GitHub Copilot and Pi. Good to know - It's a community plugin, not a database vendor's. - It doesn't connect to your database; it guides your agent's design and SQL work.
