About
teams-dev is Microsoft's agent skill for building on Microsoft Teams, from the Teams SDK repository. It teaches your agent to create and manage Teams bots with the Teams Developer CLI, following Microsoft's own step-by-step guides. What you can do with it - Scaffold a new Teams bot in TypeScript, C# or Python with teams project new - Add Teams bot features to a server you already run, using the SDK's Express or FastAPI adapters or a custom adapter - Set up the bot's infrastructure: a Teams-managed bot registration, its credentials and a dev tunnel for local testing - Configure single sign-on: the Entra app, the OAuth connection and the app manifest - List your Teams apps, check an app's settings and update a bot's endpoint when your tunnel URL changes - Troubleshoot sideloading, authentication and SSO errors How it connects - Install the Teams Developer CLI with npm install -g @microsoft/teams.cli and sign in; check with teams status. - SSO setup also uses the Azure CLI, signed in with the same Microsoft account. - In Claude Code you can also add it as a plugin: /plugin marketplace add microsoft/teams-sdk, then /plugin install teams-sdk@teams-skills. Good to know - The skill sticks to its own guides and the Teams SDK docs it links to. - It's open source under the MIT licence.
