Resumx Skills

Resumx Skills is the Resumx team's pair of Agent Skills for writing resumes. One teaches your agent rules for resume content, each traced to a published study or survey. The other teaches it Resumx, the team's open-source renderer that turns a Markdown resume into a PDF fitted to the page count you set. What you can do with it - Write or rewrite resume bullets so each one shows a result, not a duty - Swap buzzwords and passive phrasing for concrete action verbs - Tailor a resume to a job description, with its keywords placed where they count - Fix structure and formatting: standard headers, consistent dates, stacked promotions - Check for gendered language and aspirational filler - Create or edit a Resumx resume in Markdown, then render it to PDF, HTML, PNG or DOCX - Tag bullets and build a tailored version for each role from one file - Style it, fit it to your page count and validate it The skills - resume-writing: bullet composition, length, quantification, word choice, tailoring, keyword placement, structure and formatting, visual hierarchy and gendered language - resumx: Resumx's Markdown syntax, frontmatter, CLI, style options, icons, tags and views, variables, multi-language output, page fitting, validation and custom CSS, with a guided flow for writing a new resume How it works - Install both with npx skills add resumx/skills - The resumx skill drives the Resumx CLI (npm install -g @resumx/resumx), which renders with a headless Chromium browser - In a chat agent without skills, the README suggests pasting a link to the resume-writing rules as your first message Good to know - The resume-writing skill works on any resume, with or without Resumx - No account is needed; Resumx runs on your machine - The skills are MIT licensed and Resumx itself is Apache-2.0
