What Marketing Skills does

About

Marketing Skills is Corey Haines's open-source (MIT) library of Agent Skills for technical marketers and founders. Each skill teaches your agent one marketing job and the frameworks behind it, and loads when a request matches; you can also call one directly, such as /cro or /seo-audit. The product-marketing skill sets up a shared context file (.agents/product-marketing.md) about your product, audience and positioning, which the other skills read first so you don't repeat yourself. What its skills cover - Conversion: landing pages and forms, signup flows, onboarding, popups and paywalls - Content and copy: page copy, copy editing, cold email, email sequences, social posts, SMS, images and video - SEO and AI search: SEO audits, getting cited in AI answers, programmatic SEO, site architecture, schema markup, link building and comparison pages - Paid and measurement: Google, Meta and LinkedIn ads, ad creative at scale, analytics and conversion tracking, attribution and A/B tests - Growth and retention: referrals, free tools, lead magnets, co-marketing, community, influencers, churn prevention and cancel flows - Strategy and sales: marketing plans, launches, pricing, offers, marketing ideas and psychology, PR, events, prospecting, RevOps and sales enablement How to install it - All the skills: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills (or pick some, e.g. --skill cro copywriting) - Claude Code plugin: /plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills, then /plugin install marketing-skills@marketingskills - Codex plugin: codex plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills, then choose marketing-skills in /plugins - Claude on the web: upload a skill's ZIP from the repo's releases under Customize, then Skills Good to know - It's a community project by Corey Haines, not an official skill set from any of the tools it covers. - The skills are written know-how and need no account. To let your agent read marketing accounts such as GA4, Google Ads or Stripe, the repo has a separate guided setup that keeps credentials out of the chat. - The library is free. Its README lists the partners who fund it, and says they don't influence what the skills recommend.

Things to ask it

Once it’s added

“Help me optimize this landing page for conversions.”
“Write homepage copy for my SaaS.”
“Set up GA4 tracking for signups.”
“Create a 5-email welcome sequence.”
“Audit my site's SEO and tell me what to fix first.”
“How do we get cited in AI search answers?”

What it can do

Before you add it

Reads only

Your product marketing context (.agents/product-marketing.md) · Your site's pages, copy and code when you point it at them · Marketing accounts such as GA4 or Google Ads, only if you connect them

Makes changes · your agent can ask first

Creates and updates your product marketing context file · Drafts copy, email sequences, ad creative and marketing plans · Adds tracking or schema markup to your site's code when you ask
