About
Stripe's extension for Gemini CLI, from its stripe/ai repository. Installing it adds two things: Stripe's hosted MCP server, which reaches your Stripe account and searches Stripe's docs, and Stripe's agent skills, which Gemini CLI loads when a request matches, to steer it toward current Stripe APIs and practices. What its skills cover - Integration choices: Checkout Sessions or PaymentIntents, the Payment Element, billing and subscriptions, Stripe Tax and sandboxes - Upgrading Stripe API versions, webhook endpoints, server SDKs, Stripe.js and mobile SDKs - Stripe Connect for marketplaces and platforms, and what connected accounts must provide for verification - Building Stripe Apps and Dashboard extensions - Usage-based billing with Metronome - Reading and searching Stripe's docs and API reference with the Stripe CLI - Finding providers with Stripe Directory, provisioning services such as databases with Stripe Projects, and sending funds to another Stripe business The MCP server It connects Gemini CLI to Stripe's hosted MCP server at https://mcp.stripe.com with OAuth, so you're asked to sign in to Stripe the first time. Through it your agent can look up and create customers, payments, invoices, subscriptions and payment links, ask about billing metrics, and search Stripe's documentation. Stripe asks a person to confirm some writes, such as refunds. How to install it Run gemini extensions install https://github.com/stripe/ai. Several skills run Stripe CLI commands (stripe docs, stripe projects, stripe pay), so install the Stripe CLI as well. Good to know The extension lives in the same repository as Stripe's plugins for other coding agents, and its skills are synced from docs.stripe.com. The skill for sending funds tells your agent to show you the exact command and wait for your confirmation before any money moves.
