Shopify Liquid LSP

Shopify's own plugin that adds the Shopify Liquid language server to Claude Code. When Claude Code works on a Shopify theme, it starts the language server that ships with Shopify CLI (shopify theme language-server) for .liquid and .json files, so the agent gets the code intelligence an editor would. What the language server offers - Theme checks: Shopify's checks for errors and best practices in theme files - Code completion and documentation for Liquid - Documentation on hover - Code navigation - Code formatting In Claude Code, that means the agent sees theme check errors and warnings after it edits a file, and can look up definitions, references and hover docs. How to install it In Claude Code, run /plugin install liquid-lsp@claude-plugins-official from Anthropic's marketplace. Shopify also publishes it in its own marketplace: /plugin marketplace add Shopify/liquid-skills, then /plugin install liquid-lsp@liquid-skills. Good to know - It needs Shopify CLI on your PATH. Install it with npm install -g @shopify/cli (which needs Node.js), or with Homebrew: brew tap shopify/shopify, then brew install shopify-cli. Check it with shopify theme language-server --help. - It adds the language server only, no skills or MCP server. Shopify's companion Liquid Skills plugin, in the same marketplace, teaches Liquid fundamentals, theme coding standards and accessibility. - No sign-in: the language server runs on your machine.
