Shopify Commerce by OrcaQubits is a community Claude Code plugin for Shopify development, made by OrcaQubits rather than Shopify. It adds a Shopify expert subagent, 21 skills and two safety hooks, and it tells your agent to check Shopify's current developer docs before writing code, so API versions, GraphQL schemas and extension targets come from the docs rather than from memory. What its skills teach your agent - Set up Shopify CLI, a Partner account and development stores - Build apps on the Remix template with App Bridge, session tokens and OAuth - Use the GraphQL Admin and Storefront APIs, with versioning, rate limits and bulk operations, and move legacy REST calls to GraphQL - Build Online Store 2.0 themes with Liquid, sections and blocks - Build headless storefronts with Hydrogen and Oxygen - Write Shopify Functions for discounts, delivery and payments, and checkout UI extensions - Work with products, variants, metafields, orders, fulfillment, returns, customers, B2B, payments and billing - Verify webhooks with HMAC, handle the mandatory GDPR webhooks, and build admin screens with Polaris - Test, speed up and secure apps and themes, with JavaScript, TypeScript, React and Node.js patterns for Shopify apps Safety hooks - Before a shell command runs, it blocks destructive Shopify commands, such as pushing to the live theme, deleting a theme, force-deploying an app or sending a DELETE request to a store, and it warns before theme pushes, app deploys and releases. - After a file is written, it warns if it finds hardcoded Shopify tokens, API secrets, Stripe live keys or private keys. How to install it In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add OrcaQubits/agentic-commerce-skills-plugins, then /plugin install shopify-commerce@agentic-commerce. The hooks need Python on your PATH. Good to know - It doesn't connect to a store itself. It guides the code your agent writes and the Shopify CLI commands it runs. - The same marketplace has separate OrcaQubits plugins for other platforms, such as BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Magento. - Shopify's own plugin for coding agents is the Shopify AI Toolkit.
