Ask your agent about the ESP32 and Arduino sensors on your own nodrix IoT cloud, and let it flip relays when you allow it.

About
nodrix is an open-source IoT backend that you deploy into your own Cloudflare account: your ESP32 or Arduino boards send readings to it over HTTPS, and you build dashboards and automations on top. Its built-in MCP server lets your agent read that telemetry and, once you allow it, act on your hardware from anywhere. The board doesn't need to be plugged into the machine running your agent. What you can do with it - Ask for a sensor's live value, such as the soil moisture in your greenhouse - Pull a variable's history to look at a trend, like CO2 over the last 24 hours - See your projects, variables, dashboards, widgets, automations and integrations - With writes turned on: set a control variable to switch a relay, create and run automations, and build dashboards, widgets, variables and integrations - There are no delete tools, by design How it connects - You need your own nodrix instance first: deploy it to your Cloudflare account from nodrix.live, then create the owner account - The MCP server is off by default. As the owner, turn it on in Settings > More. It starts read-only; a second switch there turns on the tools that change things - For agents that sign in with OAuth, such as Claude's custom connectors, add https://your-instance/v1/mcp/oauth and approve the connection on your instance - For agents set up with a token, such as Claude Code, use https://your-instance/v1/mcp with an Authorization: Bearer header carrying an API token from your instance's Settings - Each instance has its own address, so add it by hand as above; there's no one-click install Good to know - Everything runs in your own Cloudflare account, with no third-party service in the middle - Each tool only reaches the projects its token can reach - nodrix is open source under the MIT license

Once it’s added
“What's the current soil moisture in the greenhouse project?”
“Plot CO2 for the last 24 hours and tell me if it ever crossed 1000 ppm.”
“Is the greenhouse too warm?”
“What projects and variables do I have?”
“Turn on the exhaust fan.”
“Make an automation that alerts me on Telegram when the freezer goes above -10.”
