Before you start

AEO is a community skill from Alireza Rezvani's claude-skills collection. Install it in Claude Code with /plugin marketplace add alirezarezvani/claude-skills and /plugin install aeo@claude-code-skills. Claude SEO is a separate community plugin by Agrici Daniel: /plugin marketplace add AgriciDaniel/claude-seo, then /plugin install claude-seo@agricidaniel-claude-seo. The AEO scripts run locally with Python 3 and keep their data in ~/.aeo-data/. Auditing a live URL needs the optional requests and beautifulsoup4 packages; without them, pass a Markdown copy of the page.

The AEO docs say to fix blocked crawlers before anything else. They name GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended.
