Before you start
Connect GitHub's server in read-only mode: the address https://api.githubcopilot.com/mcp/readonly, or the header X-MCP-Readonly: true. Your agent can read everything and can't post. For public repositories you don't own, turn on lockdown (X-MCP-Lockdown: true) so content from people without push access isn't passed to your agent.
