About
Vakantio MCP is Vakantio's own hosted MCP server. Vakantio is a German travel-blog platform where travelers keep a running journal of a trip, with posts, photos and an itinerary on a map, open to the whole web or limited to their followers. With this server, your agent can search first-hand travel reports and write, publish and manage your own Vakantio blog. What you can do with it - Search real travel reports by destination, tag, topic or distance from a place, as grounded research for a trip - Turn notes, chat messages or photos into a blog post: create a draft, add photos or a GPX route, publish it and get a link to share - Keep family and friends updated during a trip with a follower-only blog that isn't indexed publicly - Manage your blog: stats, trips and itineraries, comments and co-authors - Order a printed photo book laid out from your blog's posts, or send a photo from your blog as a real postcard; ordering gives you a payment link to open yourself How it connects - Add https://mcp.vakantio.de/mcp as a hosted MCP server. Your agent opens a vakantio.de consent page so you can sign in with OAuth. - Agents that can't open a browser can send a Vakantio session token as an Authorization: Bearer header instead; the Vakantio CLI's vakantio login gets you one. - The server starts with a small set of tools (search, whoami and list_destinations) plus list_tools and use_tool, which open its full catalog of post, blog, trip, comment and account tools. Good to know - Vakantio is user-generated travel writing, not a travel agency: it doesn't book hotels or flights or show travel prices. - Blogs can be written in German or English. - Photo books are shipped to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. - Vakantio also offers a CLI (@vakantio/cli) and a TypeScript SDK (@vakantio/sdk) for the same API.
