About
Coursera's own plugin for Claude. It adds one skill, Learn with Coursera, that turns a learning intent into a personalized Coursera experience. When you say you want to learn or practice something, it asks three quick questions, searches Coursera's catalog and gives you the right next step, then helps you find a learning path forward. What its skill does - Asks what you want to learn and in what context, how familiar you already are with it, and how you want to learn today - Recommends one or two Coursera courses, a guided hands-on project, or a short video that explains the topic clearly - Sets up a live roleplay to practice a real conversation, such as a difficult customer conversation or a negotiation, shaped to your scenario - Reads a course's curriculum to check it covers what you need, and points out the most relevant modules for your role and goal - Covers technical topics (SQL, Python, data, cloud), interpersonal skills (negotiation, communication, leadership), certification and interview prep, and professional tools How it connects The plugin is the skill on its own; it doesn't include an MCP server. It works through the tools of Coursera's connector for Claude (search_courses, search_videos, search_hands_on_learning, coursera_roleplay_practice and get_course_material), so add that connector from Claude's connector directory and sign in to Coursera first. The skill can also be copied into any agent that reads Agent Skills, from github.com/coursera/skills. Good to know Coursera built the connector for enterprise learners: its recommendations come from your organization's Coursera catalog.
