About
Answer me with HTML is a community skill by QingYunA that answers hard questions with a single offline HTML page instead of a long block of chat text. The agent writes a short Markdown draft, and the command-line tool bundled with the skill turns it into a page with diagrams, tables and code, so the model writes far less than it would hand-coding the HTML. What you can do with it - Explain a concept, such as the TCP handshake, with sequence and state diagrams and a table - Map how the modules in a repo fit together, as a folder tree and a call graph - Compare options, such as Redis or Memcached, in a table with a verdict - Annotate a paragraph sentence by sentence, with the problem words and fixes - Lay out a history as a timeline, or plan a change with the real code and open decisions you answer on the page - Ask for a 3Blue1Brown-style explainer video, built step by step with narration, that plays offline How it works - The agent decides when a page is worth it; a one-line question still gets a one-line answer, and you can always say "explain it in HTML". - Pages are saved in ~/.answer-me-with-html/pages/, open in your browser, and have buttons for theme, light or dark mode, collecting your reply and copying the source Markdown. - An optional writing check applies ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English rules to the page text. - Settings (opening the browser, theme, text size, narration voice and more) change with a slash command or just by asking. How to install it - In Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add QingYunA/answer-me-with-html, then /plugin install answer-me-with-html@answer-me-with-html. - Or npx skills add QingYunA/answer-me-with-html for Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and other agents, or ask your agent to follow the repo's INSTALL.md. - It needs Node.js 20 or newer; there's no separate npm install. Good to know - It's a community project, MIT-licensed.
