# Vespa CLI

> Vespa's own skill for the Vespa CLI: point your agent at a target, deploy and check Vespa apps, feed and query documents, and read logs.

Vespa.ai's own Agent Skill for the Vespa CLI, from its official skills repo. It teaches your agent how to deploy, manage and debug Vespa applications from the command line, on a local instance, on Vespa Cloud or at a custom endpoint.

What you can do with it
- Set the target and application, and see how the CLI's configuration fits together
- Sign in to Vespa Cloud in the browser, set up mTLS certificates for the data plane, or use an API key in CI/CD
- Deploy an application package and wait for it to converge, or prepare and activate it on a self-hosted cluster
- Check that container and content nodes are up and running the latest config
- Set up production deployments on Vespa Cloud and tear down dev deployments
- Put, get, update and remove documents, and feed in bulk
- Read logs, run tests and wire the CLI into CI/CD

How it works
- Install with the Vespa CLI itself (vespa skills install) for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Antigravity, or with npx skills add vespa-engine/skills
- Your agent runs the vespa command, so the Vespa CLI needs to be installed
- It's one of Vespa's skills; the others cover application packages, schemas, queries and ranking, feeding, pyvespa and migrating from Elasticsearch
