# rn-motion-director > A motion-first video director for your agent: turns a topic into a real animated video, not a slideshow. rn-motion-director is an open-source Agent Skill by pluviobyte, from the rnskill collection. It acts as the director layer that turns a topic, article, script or brief into a motion-first video concept and keeps the result behaving like video rather than a deck. How it directs - Starts from movement: it finds a visual metaphor that can move (a river, network, orbit, factory line, growth loop) before planning any scenes - Writes a one-sentence motion thesis, then a beat graph where most beats carry a real state change, not just a fade or slide - Picks two to four motion primitives and reuses them with variation instead of stacking every effect - Directs generated images only when they do narrative work, and animates stills with crop, mask, parallax or reveal - Chooses an implementation route, defaulting to HyperFrames and using Remotion for React-based projects - Runs an anti-slideshow gate and a QC pass before it calls the video done How it installs - Install with npx skills add Pluviobyte/rnskill --skill rn-motion-director. - It is the direction and planning layer: it hands off to production skills such as HyperFrames or Remotion and does not generate images or video itself.
