# Resume Agent Skills

> Build a deep career profile once with a guided interview, then tailor an ATS-ready resume from it for every job you apply to.

vignzpie's pair of Agent Skills that split resume work in two. The first interviews you once and writes a detailed career profile; the second reads that profile and a job description and produces a tailored, ATS-ready resume. Each tailoring session writes new answers back to the profile, so it gets richer over time.

What you can do with it
- Run a structured interview that adapts to your experience level, from intern to principal, and your track, such as engineering, product, design, data, marketing, sales, operations or academia
- Save the result as career_profile.md: your achievements, scope, approved framings and known gaps
- Tailor a resume to a job description you paste, point to as a file, or link
- See the gaps between you and the job, answer targeted questions only for those, and get a drafted resume
- Run an ATS keyword pass and render the resume to Markdown, Word, PDF and HTML where possible
- Commit each tailored resume to git if you want a history

The skills
- career-profile-builder: the profile interview
- resume-tailor: job description analysis, gap scoring, targeted questions, drafting, ATS optimization and rendering

How it works
- Copy both skill folders into your agent's skills folder, such as ~/.claude/skills/ for Claude Code; the README covers Claude.ai, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI too
- resume-tailor needs career_profile.md and hands off to career-profile-builder when it's missing

Good to know
- It keeps to the gaps and framings you approved, and doesn't invent experience
- It's a community project by vignzpie, MIT licensed
