# Prompt Master

> Has your agent write a tight, ready-to-paste prompt for the AI tool you name, from Claude Code and Cursor to Midjourney and Sora.

Prompt Master is an Agent Skill by nidhinjs that writes prompts for other AI tools. Tell it which tool the prompt is for and what you want, or paste a prompt that isn't working, and it hands back one clean, copyable prompt with a one-line note on its strategy. Its aim is fewer re-prompts: every word in the prompt should change the output.

What you can do with it
- Write a prompt for a coding agent or editor, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, with file scope and stop conditions
- Fix or tighten a prompt you wrote that isn't getting the answer you want
- Write image, video and voice prompts for tools such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, Sora, Runway and ElevenLabs
- Write a prompt that edits just one part of a reference image
- Break an existing prompt down and adapt it for a different tool
- Write prompts for workflow tools such as Zapier, Make and n8n

How it works
- It works out which tool the prompt is for and follows that tool's profile; for a tool it doesn't know, it asks a few fingerprint questions instead
- It pulls out the task, input, output, constraints, context, audience, memory, success criteria and examples, and asks at most three questions when something critical is missing
- It picks a prompt template (such as RTF, CO-STAR, ReAct with stop conditions, or a visual descriptor) without making you see the framework
- It sticks to reliable techniques (a role, few-shot examples, XML structure, grounding anchors) and leaves out ones it considers unpredictable, such as Tree of Thought
- It checks the prompt against common mistakes and trims every word that doesn't change the output
- When a request depends on the latest model, it checks the provider's own docs

How to install
- Claude.ai: download the repository as a ZIP, then upload it under Customize, Skills
- Claude Code: clone it into ~/.claude/skills/prompt-master
- Then ask for a prompt, or type /prompt-master

Good to know
- A community project by nidhinjs, MIT licensed
- It only steps in when you ask to write, fix or adapt a prompt for an AI tool, not for general chat or coding
- It writes the prompt for you to paste; it doesn't run it in the other tool
