# karpathy-llm-wiki > Your agent keeps a personal wiki: it files sources, compiles them into linked markdown pages, answers with citations and lints the result. karpathy-llm-wiki is Astro-Han's Agent Skill that packages Andrej Karpathy's LLM Wiki idea into one installable skill. Instead of re-searching raw documents for every question, your agent maintains a wiki: new sources are compiled into durable markdown pages, cross-references are updated over time, and answers cite the pages that hold the knowledge. It's a community project, not made by Karpathy. What you can do with it - Ingest: give it a URL, a file or pasted text. It saves the source in raw/, triages it, then creates or updates wiki articles, or just logs it when there's nothing new - Query: ask a question and get an answer with citations linking to your wiki pages - Lint: check the index, broken links and stale cross-references, fixing what it can and reporting the rest How it works - raw/ holds the source material, by topic and date, and isn't changed afterwards - wiki/ holds the pages the agent maintains, with an index.md table of contents and an append-only log.md - Each new source can update several pages and record contradictions, so the wiki builds up over time - Sources can be web pages, papers, blog posts, PDFs, markdown or text files, or pasted text How to install it Run npx add-skill Astro-Han/karpathy-llm-wiki for Claude Code, Cursor or OpenCode. For Codex, copy it to .agents/skills/karpathy-llm-wiki/. Other agents can use SKILL.md with its references and scripts folders.
