# Firecrawl CLI > Give your agent the live web through the Firecrawl CLI: search, scrape, crawl, map, interact with pages, monitor changes and parse files. Firecrawl CLI is Firecrawl's command-line tool for AI agents, and these are its agent skills. They teach your agent to use the CLI for live web work: finding sources, reading pages, crawling sites, driving a browser on a page, and watching for changes. What you can do with it - Search the web for sources with relevant excerpts, and read any page you name as clean Markdown - Crawl a site or section to extract many pages, map a site's URLs, or save a section as local files and screenshots - Drive a live browser on a page: click, fill forms, sign in to your own accounts, paginate and scroll - Let an autonomous agent navigate sites and pull structured data across pages - Find ready-made workflows and data APIs through Firecrawl's Alexandria data providers - Search Firecrawl's indexes of developer docs and research papers - Monitor known pages and get alerts by webhook or email when they change - Convert local PDF, DOCX, XLSX and HTML files to Markdown How it connects - Run npx -y firecrawl-cli@latest init -y --browser to install the CLI, sign in to Firecrawl in your browser and add the skills to the coding agents it detects, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode. - Or install the CLI with npm install -g firecrawl-cli and add skills with firecrawl setup core. - Searches, page reads and crawls use your Firecrawl credits.
