# File Conversion > Converts images, audio, video, documents and data with the tools on your machine, keeps your originals and checks every result. File Conversion is a skill from Seth Hobson's wshobson/agents collection that teaches your agent to convert local files between common formats with tools already installed on your machine. It inspects the source, picks a supported route, writes the result to a fresh folder without touching the original, and reopens the output to check it. Files stay local: it never uploads them to a conversion service.
