Codex PPT

Codex PPT is a community Agent Skill by ningzimu that turns source material into an image-based presentation. It plans the outline and visual style with you, generates every slide as a full 16:9 image, then assembles the images into a .pptx with a local script. It's built for Codex and also works in Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent and other agents that read SKILL.md skills. What you can do with it - Turn a technical article into a sharing deck, or a paper or report into a presentation - Turn course notes into teaching slides - Make decks for research proposals, project reviews and thesis defenses - Make business reports, product introductions and research summaries - Put specific images, such as paper figures, charts, screenshots or architecture diagrams, on the slides you choose - Copy the style of an image, PDF or deck you like, or start from one of its built-in styles, such as clean professional, scientific defense, data dashboard or hand-drawn technical explainer - Regenerate a single slide without redoing the whole deck How it works - It reads your material, writes outline.md and asks you to confirm the slide count, titles and key points. - It offers a few visual styles, tells you which image backend it will use, and makes one sample slide for your approval before generating the rest. - It checks each slide for readable text, a consistent style and complete content, writes speech.md, and puts those notes into each slide when it builds the .pptx. - Styles you like can be saved to a personal style library in ~/.codex-ppt-skill/references/, which survives updates. How it connects - In Codex it uses Codex's built-in image generation, usually with no API key. - In other agents you configure an image API: OpenAI, an OpenAI-compatible endpoint or AtlasCloud, with your own key, base URL and model name, saved in ~/.codex-ppt-skill/.env. Your provider bills for the images. - Install with npx skills add ningzimu/codex-ppt-skill --skill codex-ppt, or in OpenClaw with openclaw skills install codex-ppt. It needs Python 3. Good to know - Slides are images, so their text and shapes aren't editable in PowerPoint. The maker's separate image-to-editable-ppt skill can rebuild them as editable slides. - It's a community project, MIT-licensed.
