Apify x402 Agentic Wallet

Apify x402 Agentic Wallet is a community skill from Apify's Awesome Apify Skills collection, written by Martin Forejt. It teaches your agent to use Apify's Actors (its web scrapers and automation tools) without an Apify account or API key. The agent pays in USDC on Base over the x402 protocol from a Coinbase Agentic Wallet: it buys one spend-capped, prepaid Apify token, then finds, runs and reads Actors with it. Your agent spends real money with this skill. USDC payments on Base can't be undone, and unused credit isn't refunded. What you can do with it - Pull live web data, such as social media posts, search results, maps, marketplaces and news, without signing up for Apify - Set up a Coinbase Agentic Wallet with your email and a verification code - Buy a prepaid Apify token with USDC, once you say go ahead - Find an Actor in Apify Store, read its input and price, run it and get the results in the chat - Check what's left on the token How it works - Your agent signs in to the wallet with npx awal (Coinbase's Agentic Wallet CLI), using the email you give it and the code Coinbase emails you. The wallet is created on first sign-in. - The wallet needs USDC on Base (at least $1) and a little ETH on Base for the one-time gas fee that deploys it. The ETH has to come from outside the wallet. - Before paying, the skill tells your agent to say what it's about to buy and wait for your explicit go-ahead. Asking for a task doesn't count as a yes. - It buys the token from Apify AGI (agi.apify.com), with a --max-amount cap on the payment, then calls the Apify API with it using curl. Spending and limits - The token's balance is a hard spending cap: every Actor run draws from it until it runs out. The smallest purchase is $1. - The token expires 14 days after purchase, and unused balance is non-refundable, so buy only what the task needs. - A prepaid account also has usage limits, such as 1,000 compute units. - Each Actor has its own price. The skill reads it before a run and keeps result limits modest. - The skill tells your agent never to send, trade or swap funds from the wallet without asking you first. - Apify calls agentic payments experimental and says they may change. Good to know - The prepaid token works like an API key, and the skill tells your agent never to print or save it. - Actors that need full permissions won't run on a prepaid token. - If a site blocks a run or it comes back empty, the skill tells your agent to say so rather than make up results. - This is a community contribution in Apify's collection, not one of Apify's maintained skills.
