Before you start
This is a community skill from Alireza Rezvani's claude-skills collection. It is for business capital decisions such as equipment, hires, software, real estate and vendor contracts, not for stocks or personal investing. Treat the result as a worked draft for you and your finance lead or accountant to check, not as financial advice. Install with /plugin marketplace add alirezarezvani/claude-skills and /plugin install business-investment-advisor@claude-code-skills. If you keep a company-context.md, it reads that first.
Describe the decision
Give it the upfront cost, the useful life or contract term, expected savings or extra revenue, ongoing costs, your confidence and your cost of capital or loan rate if you know it. It works with partial data and flags what it assumed.
Say to ClaudeShould we [buy a $60K packaging machine]? Useful life [8] years. Expected saving [$2,000 a month]. Ongoing costs [$300 a month]. Our cost of capital is about [10]%. My confidence in the savings is [medium].
Check the assumptions
Each assumption is tagged as verified, a reasonable estimate or assumed. The assumed ones are the ones to check against real quotes, invoices or your books.
