# Zomato MCP

> Lets your agent find nearby restaurants, browse menus, fill a cart and place a Zomato food order in India, paid by QR code.

Zomato's own hosted MCP server for ordering food. Your agent can find restaurants near you, browse their menus, build a cart and place the order, and you pay with a QR code. Zomato is a food delivery service in India, so this is for ordering there with your Zomato account.

What you can do with it
- Find nearby restaurants by location and preference, such as top rated, a cuisine, vegan or within a set distance
- Browse menus with prices, descriptions and ratings
- Add dishes to your cart and customize the order
- Place the order and track it
- Pay with a QR code
- Reorder from your last order

How it connects
Zomato hosts it at https://mcp-server.zomato.com/mcp. You sign in with your Zomato account the first time your agent uses it. In Claude, add it as a custom connector under Settings, Connectors; on Claude's free plan, Zomato's README shows a desktop config that connects through the mcp-remote package. In VS Code there's a one-click install.

Good to know
- Zomato only accepts sign-ins from the agents it has approved so far: Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code and Postman. For any other agent, Zomato asks you to get in touch to have it enabled.
- Developer access, for building your own agents and integrations on it, is for personal use only and needs Zomato's approval through its request form. Zomato isn't allowing third-party apps on it for now.
- Zomato describes it as being for testing and disclaims liability if the integration doesn't work as expected.
