# Webhook Studio

> Lets your agent spin up webhook endpoints, wait for real events, replay them to localhost and generate types from your actual traffic.

Webhook Studio sits between webhook providers such as Stripe, GitHub and Twilio and your app. It captures every event with its headers, raw body and signature result, forwards and replays events, and learns the shape of what each provider actually sends your account. Its hosted MCP server gives your agent that whole pipeline, so it can build and test a webhook integration end to end.

What you can do with it
- Create webhook endpoints and get the URL to point a provider at, plus a live inbox link for you
- Wait for the next matching event, so "send a test webhook" becomes one step in the chat
- Read the latest event, or search past events by time, provider, type or signature result
- Replay a captured event to localhost or any URL, with the original signature intact or re-signed with your own secret
- Forward matching events to your backend with AND/OR conditions, and see which deliveries failed and why
- Turn on HMAC signature verification with the provider's own signing secret
- Generate TypeScript, Zod or JSON Schema types, or a full Next.js or Express handler, from the payloads your account received, and diff schema versions for breaking changes

How it connects
Add https://webhook-studio.com/mcp as a hosted server with an Authorization: Bearer header. Webhook Studio offers two kinds of token:
- A keyless ws_anon_ token from POST https://webhook-studio.com/api/start, with no signup. It can read and replay events on one fresh endpoint and expires with it after 3 days.
- A ws_live_ API key from the API page of a free account, for everything: creating endpoints, verification, forwards and schemas.
Webhook Studio documents setup for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients.

Good to know
The server connects without a header, but its tools then answer that an API key is missing, so add a token before you use it. A keyless token that calls a tool outside its scope, such as creating an endpoint, gets a 401; Webhook Studio enforces that on its server, so a keyless token is safe to hand an agent.
