# Todoist MCP

> Todoist's own MCP server: your agent finds, adds, completes and reschedules your tasks and organizes your projects from the chat.

Todoist's own hosted MCP server lets your agent read and manage your Todoist tasks and projects without leaving the chat. Ask what's overdue, capture new tasks, shape a project or tidy your Inbox in plain words.

What you can do with it
- Find tasks by date, project, label, saved filter or text, including what's overdue
- Add, update, complete and reschedule tasks, including recurring ones
- Create and reorganize projects and sections, and move tasks between them
- Add comments, labels, reminders and saved filters
- Read your activity log to see what got done, and check project health and productivity stats

How it connects
Todoist hosts it at https://ai.todoist.net/mcp. Your agent connects with OAuth: you sign in to Todoist and approve read and write access, and your password is never shared with the agent. You can review or revoke that access any time in Todoist under Settings > Integrations. Todoist has setup guides for ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex and more.

Good to know
- It can read and change your Todoist data, so most agents ask you to confirm before each change.
- Ask it to reschedule a recurring task rather than change its date, so the repeat schedule is kept.
- Work or school accounts may need an admin to allow third-party connections.
- How much activity history it can read depends on your Todoist plan.
