# There There

> Lets your agent read, triage and reply to There There helpdesk tickets, and keep your knowledge base up to date.

There There's own MCP server. There There is an AI-assisted, human-led helpdesk for email and chat, built by Spatie, the team behind Flare, Mailcoach and Ray. Once it's connected, your agent can read your tickets, work on private drafts, triage tickets, reply to customers and edit your knowledge base, without leaving the chat.

What you can do with it
- List, read and search tickets, including search by meaning ("tickets about export bugs")
- Look up contacts and list your channels
- Triage: change a ticket's status, assign it to a person or team, add or remove tags, set custom fields and add internal notes
- Write private reply, note and forward drafts without sending anything
- Send replies and forwards, and start new outbound tickets
- Search, create, update and delete knowledge base (brain) articles

How it connects
There There hosts it at https://there-there.app/mcp. Add that address as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code, or add it with claude mcp add in Claude Code. The first time it's used, There There's consent screen opens: pick the workspaces and the abilities to grant, then click Allow. For scripts and CI you can send a personal API token as a Bearer header instead.

Read-only when you want it
Each ability is a checkbox: read, manage tickets, drafts, reply and knowledge write, and the agent can't see tools for abilities you didn't grant. Grant only read to keep it read-only, or drafts without reply so it prepares answers that you send yourself. A read-only API token gives read access only.

Good to know
- Every call runs as you and follows your channel access rules; tickets in channels you can't see come back as "not found".
- Every tool call is logged in the workspace, and you can revoke a connection any time from Settings, Connected apps.
- You need to belong to a There There workspace. The REST API and MCP come with every paid plan.
