# TheirStack

> Search job postings and company tech stacks from your agent, and manage your TheirStack lists, saved searches and webhooks.

TheirStack's own hosted MCP server connects your agent to its job-postings and technographic data. Describe what you want and your agent picks the right tool: search job postings, find companies by the technologies they use and the roles they hire for, or look up one company's tech stack.

What you can do with it
- Search job postings by title, company, technology, location, salary or posting date
- Find companies by tech stack, hiring signals and firmographics such as size and industry
- Look up a company's full technology stack and the buying-intent topics found in its job posts
- Browse the catalogs of technologies, industries and locations, and job and company counts per country
- Build and manage company lists and saved searches, and set up and monitor webhooks on a saved search
- Check your credit balance, usage and API request history, and report data bugs or request a missing technology

How it connects
Add https://api.theirstack.com/mcp to your agent as a remote MCP server. TheirStack's docs give setup steps for Claude, ChatGPT and more.

Signing in
By default your agent opens a browser the first time you connect, and you sign in with your TheirStack account. Or send a TheirStack API key in an Authorization: Bearer header; TheirStack recommends that when a client doesn't refresh its sign-in cleanly, or for automations.

Good to know
- Requests use your TheirStack API credits at the same rate as the API. The technology, industry, location and country catalogs are free.
- Tools that change or delete something on your account, such as creating a webhook, deleting a list or cancelling a subscription, are flagged so your agent asks you to confirm first. Read-only tools run without asking.
- In ChatGPT, custom connectors need a Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise plan.
