# Statsig MCP

> Lets your agent read and manage your Statsig feature gates, experiments, dynamic configs, metrics and logs from the chat.

Statsig's own hosted MCP server connects your agent to your Statsig project. Ask which experiments are running and how they're doing, look up feature gates and dynamic configs, check metrics and audit logs, and create or update gates, experiments and configs without opening the console. Statsig documents it for ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, and for any other client that supports Streamable HTTP.

What you can do with it
- List experiments and read their overall results, metric breakdowns, summary charts and version history
- List feature gates, find stale ones, and read a gate's rules, results and history
- Look up dynamic configs, metrics, metric sources and audit logs, and query Logs Explorer
- Create and update gates, experiments and dynamic configs
- Work with layers, segments, Parameter Stores, Autotunes, prompts and reviews
- Clean up stale gates: find them in Statsig, then have your agent remove the checks from your code

How it connects
Statsig hosts it, so there's nothing to install. The install steps on this page use Statsig's V1 address, https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp, and send your Statsig Console API key in a statsig-api-key header. You'll find your keys on the API keys page of the Statsig console (console.statsig.com/api_keys).
Statsig now recommends its V3 server at https://api.statsig.com/v3/mcp, which signs you in with OAuth and groups the same operations into fewer tools. Its setup guides for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and ChatGPT use that address. V1 remains supported.

Good to know
- A read-only key can use every read tool. Creating or changing anything needs a key with write permissions, and your project's permissions and review policies still apply.
- On V3, updates and sensitive operations ask your agent for a confirmation, so review each change before it goes through.
- OAuth sign-in only works with Personal Console API Keys, which your Statsig org owner has to enable for your role.
- Statsig also runs a separate, public Docs MCP server that reads its documentation and needs no API key.

## Install

You'll need:

- `statsig-api-key` (required): Statsig Console API key for authentication

Replace each `<NAME>` placeholder with your own value.

### ChatGPT

In ChatGPT on the web: Plugins → + → Add custom MCP server, then paste https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp under Connection. Business and Enterprise plans; Pro can add read-only servers.

### Claude

In Claude (web or desktop): Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp

### Muse

In Muse: In a Muse chat, ask it to create a custom connector for the MCP server at https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp. Then tap Connect on the card it shows and sign in, or add your key.

### Grok Bot

In Grok Bot: In a chat with your Bot, say "Add this MCP server: https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp". It confirms the details with you and sets it up, and the tools are ready from your next message.

### Grok

In Grok on the web: At grok.com/connectors: New Connector → Custom, then enter https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp and sign in if it asks.

### GitHub Copilot

Add to VS Code: vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22statsig-mcp%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fapi.statsig.com%2Fv1%2Fmcp%22%7D

Copilot CLI:

```shell
copilot mcp add --transport http --header 'statsig-api-key: <statsig-api-key>' statsig-mcp https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp
```

### Cursor

Add to Cursor: cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=statsig-mcp&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5zdGF0c2lnLmNvbS92MS9tY3AiLCJoZWFkZXJzIjp7InN0YXRzaWctYXBpLWtleSI6IjxzdGF0c2lnLWFwaS1rZXk%2BIn19

Add to .cursor/mcp.json:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "statsig-mcp": {
      "url": "https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "statsig-api-key": "<statsig-api-key>"
      }
    }
  }
}
```

### Claude Code

Run in your terminal:

```shell
claude mcp add --transport http --header 'statsig-api-key: <statsig-api-key>' statsig-mcp https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp
```

### Codex

Run in your terminal:

```shell
codex mcp add statsig-mcp --url https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp
```

### Antigravity

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "statsig-mcp": {
      "url": "https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "statsig-api-key": "<statsig-api-key>"
      }
    }
  }
Run in your terminal:
```shell
gemini mcp add --transport http --header 'statsig-api-key: <statsig-api-key>' statsig-mcp https://api.statsig.com/v1/mcp
```
### Replit
