# Save to Spotify

> Turn a briefing, deep dive or meeting recap into a narrated episode with chapters and cover art, saved privately to your Spotify.

Spotify's own plugin for making personal audio episodes with your agent. Describe what you want in plain English: the agent gathers the content, writes the script, narrates it with a voice engine you choose and saves the finished episode to your Spotify Library, with chapters, in-player images and links, and a cover image.

What you can make
- Morning briefing: your calendar, tasks and overnight repo activity as a short daily brief
- Deep dive: a topic, article or PDF turned into a personal audio explainer
- Meeting recap: a transcript turned into a short summary with action items
- Travel guide: a private audio itinerary for your next trip
- News roundup: the newsletters, feeds and sites you follow, as a daily roundup
- Bedtime and sleep stories, and language practice

What its skills do
- save-to-spotify: agrees a plan and chapter outline with you, writes and checks the script, produces the audio, adds a timeline of chapters plus images, links and Spotify cards that show while it plays, makes a cover image and saves the episode to one of your shows
- It also saves audio you already have (lectures, voice memos, talks) and manages your shows and episodes
- configure-chapter-skip: only when you ask for it, makes a show's skip buttons jump between chapters instead of 15 seconds

How it connects
The skills drive Spotify's save-to-spotify command-line tool, which the agent installs from saveto.spotify.com once you agree. In Claude Code, add it with /plugin marketplace add spotify/save-to-spotify, then /plugin install save-to-spotify@save-to-spotify. Sign-in is a one-time Spotify login in your browser, or a link you open on another device for remote machines; the tool keeps the token fresh. It doesn't make speech itself, so bring a voice engine: Kokoro (free and local), or OpenAI TTS or ElevenLabs with your own API key. It uses ffmpeg to put the audio together.

Good to know
- Episodes are saved privately to your Spotify Library: only you can see them, and they can't be shared.
- It asks before installing anything, and waits for you to confirm the plan before making audio.
- It only reads its sources: it never posts, likes or changes anything on them.
