# Resend Skills

> Resend's own skills and hosted MCP server: your agent sends and receives email, builds React Email templates and keeps email deliverable.

Resend Skills is Resend's own plugin for coding agents. It bundles five Agent Skills that teach your agent how to build with Resend, plus Resend's hosted MCP server, which gives it tool access to the Resend API.

What its skills teach your agent
- resend: send single and batch emails, receive inbound email through webhooks, and work with templates, domains, contacts, broadcasts, webhooks, API keys, inboxes, automations and logs, including gotchas like idempotency keys and webhook verification
- agent-email-inbox: set up a secure email inbox for an AI agent, with sender allowlists, content filtering and sandboxed handling of untrusted email, replying inside the thread
- resend-cli: run the resend CLI from the terminal, in scripts or in CI, with the flags it needs when nobody is there to answer prompts
- react-email: build HTML emails from React components, preview and render them, or add the React Email visual editor to an app
- email-best-practices: SPF, DKIM and DMARC, transactional versus marketing email, CAN-SPAM, GDPR and CASL compliance, accessibility, retries and webhook events

How it connects
- The plugin adds Resend's hosted MCP server at https://mcp.resend.com/mcp. The first time it connects, your client opens a browser so you can sign in to Resend and approve access (OAuth), with no API key to paste.
- Through it your agent can send, schedule and batch email, read received email, work with inboxes, threads and drafts, and manage templates, contacts, broadcasts, domains, webhooks, suppressions and logs.
- Code the skills write with the Resend SDK or CLI reads an API key from RESEND_API_KEY.

Good to know
- You need a Resend account, and a verified domain to send from your own address.
- Where a browser sign-in isn't possible (a server, CI or a headless agent), Resend's docs show passing an API key to the MCP server as a Bearer token instead.
- The resend-cli, react-email and email-best-practices skills are kept in sync from Resend's own repositories for those projects.
