# Pascal 3D Editor

> Lets your agent build and edit 3D buildings in Pascal: rooms, walls, doors, windows, stairs, roofs and furniture, as editable projects.

Pascal's own MCP server for Pascal Editor, its browser-based 3D editor for buildings. Your agent creates, inspects, edits, validates and saves 3D building projects with the same tools Pascal's in-app chat uses. Changes land in the same projects you open in the editor, so you can watch the result and carry on by hand.

What you can do with it
- Create a project and lay out rooms from a footprint, with walls, doors and windows
- Add levels, stairs and roofs, including L and U stairs and barrel or glazed roofs
- Furnish a room from the item catalog, or place items on the floor, a wall or a ceiling
- Paint walls, floors, roofs and other surfaces with finishes from the material library
- Read a scene's levels, walls and rooms, measure between things and check for overlapping furniture
- Validate a project and save it, then open the link it returns in the editor

How it connects
Pascal hosts it at https://editor.pascal.app/api/mcp, working on the projects in your Pascal account or organization. In Claude (on the web, Claude Desktop and Claude Code) and in Cursor you sign in to Pascal in the browser and choose a workspace. Other agents connect with a Pascal API key, created in Pascal's Settings and sent as a bearer token.
The open-source package, @pascal-app/mcp, runs the server on your machine with npx and keeps scenes in a local SQLite database (~/.pascal/data/pascal.db). It needs no account or key. To work on projects you also open in the local editor, Pascal recommends its CLI (npx @pascal-app/cli editor) instead.

Good to know
When you sign in, you approve two kinds of access: reading projects, and creating, editing, saving and deleting them. A view of the scene is rendered free in your open editor tab; with no tab open, Pascal can render it on its own servers for credits, but only after you turn on "Can spend credits" for the connection. Reading floor plan images and room photos needs an agent that supports MCP sampling. The local package doesn't export GLB files.
