# Oxylabs MCP

> Lets your agent scrape any URL, search Google and Amazon, and crawl or browse sites through Oxylabs, getting clean Markdown or data back.

Oxylabs' own MCP server for its Web Scraper API and AI Studio. Your agent can scrape any URL, including JavaScript-heavy pages, with geo-targeting and rotating IPs from Oxylabs' proxy network, and get the content back as clean Markdown or structured data. It has two sets of tools that work together or on their own.

What you can do with it
- Scrape any URL, with optional JavaScript rendering, geo-targeting and Markdown, HTML or links output (Web Scraper API)
- Get Google Search results, parsed into structured JSON if you want (Web Scraper API)
- Scrape Amazon search results and product pages (Web Scraper API)
- Extract content from any page with AI, as JSON, CSV, Markdown or TOON (AI Studio)
- Crawl a site from a starting URL, following a prompt, and collect data across its pages (AI Studio)
- Have a real browser follow a prompt: navigate, click and fill in forms, then return the result (AI Studio)
- Search the web, map a site's URLs, and generate a JSON schema for structured extraction (AI Studio)

How it connects
Oxylabs hosts it at https://mcp.oxylabs.io/mcp, and you pass your credentials as request headers: your Web Scraper API token as a Bearer token (or your username and password with HTTP Basic auth), and your AI Studio key in X-Oxylabs-AI-Studio-Api-Key. You can also run it on your own computer from PyPI with uvx, setting OXYLABS_USERNAME and OXYLABS_PASSWORD for the scraper tools and OXYLABS_AI_STUDIO_API_KEY for the AI tools (newer versions also take OXYLABS_API_TOKEN).

Good to know
- You need at least one of the two: a Web Scraper API account (there's a one-week free trial) or an AI Studio API key (it comes with free credits).
- Every tool is listed whatever you set up; a tool you have no credentials for returns an error saying what to add. Only set the credentials you really have, since placeholder values make calls fail.
- The hosted server takes keys only as headers, so agents that can only connect remote servers with OAuth sign-in, such as custom connectors on claude.ai, can't use it yet. Oxylabs says OAuth sign-in is on its roadmap; until then, run it locally, for example in Claude Desktop.
- It's open source under the MIT licence.
