# Open SEO MCP Skills

Ryze AI's open-source SEO and GEO skills for Claude Code. Each skill is a step-by-step workflow that runs on the Ryze connector, Ryze's hosted MCP server, so its reports come from your own Google Search Console, GA4 and Google Ads data, with DataForSEO for competitor keywords, backlinks and live search results.

What its skills do
- seo-audit: indexation, decaying pages, low click-through on top positions, striking-distance keywords and cannibalisation, from Search Console and GA4
- keyword-research: turns a seed into keyword ideas with Google Ads volume and CPC, then clusters them into a content plan
- rank-tracking: winners, losers, new and lost queries between two periods, from Search Console positions
- competitor-gap: keywords a competitor ranks for that you don't, and where they're ahead of you
- backlink-check: referring domains, anchors and a link gap against a competitor
- ai-visibility: visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini in GA4, and the pages they send people to
- content-brief: a brief for a target keyword, built from the live search results and your own data
- seo-vs-ads: search terms you pay for while already ranking for them, and paid winners with no organic page

How it connects
The Claude Code plugin installs the skills and adds the Ryze connector (https://connector.get-ryze.ai/mcp). The first time it's used, you sign in to Ryze in the browser, pick your workspaces and connect Search Console, GA4 and Google Ads there. Ryze AI runs the connector and holds those account connections. The skills are plain Markdown, so you can also copy them into another agent and add the same connector address.

Good to know
- The skills are MIT-licensed, but Ryze's help center says the connector's tools need an active Ryze plan or free trial (Paid Ads, Agency or an SEO plan).
- The skills only read and report. The Ryze connector also has write tools for ad accounts; Ryze recommends setting them to Needs approval in your agent.
- When a data source isn't connected, each skill names the missing connection instead of guessing.
