# Notion plugin for Claude Code

Notion's own plugin for Claude Code. One install adds Notion's hosted MCP server, four skills from the Notion Cookbook that teach Claude how to work inside your Notion workspace, and slash commands for common Notion jobs.

What its skills teach Claude
- Knowledge Capture: turn a conversation into structured documentation, such as a decision record, how-to guide or FAQ entry, and save it to the right wiki or database
- Meeting Intelligence: gather context from Notion, then write an internal pre-read and an agenda for an upcoming meeting
- Research Documentation: search across your workspace, combine findings from several pages and write a report with citations
- Spec to Implementation: turn a product or tech spec into an implementation plan and tasks, and track progress in Notion

Slash commands
- /Notion:search and /Notion:find search your workspace or find a page by its title
- /Notion:create-page, /Notion:create-task and /Notion:create-database-row add pages, tasks and database rows
- /Notion:database-query queries a database by name or ID
- /Notion:tasks:setup sets up a task board; /Notion:tasks:plan and /Notion:tasks:build plan or build a task from its Notion page, posting status and questions back to the board
- /Notion:tasks:explain-diff writes a Notion page explaining a code change

How to install it
In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add makenotion/claude-code-notion-plugin, then /plugin install notion-workspace-plugin@notion-plugin-marketplace, and restart Claude Code so the MCP server starts.

The MCP server
It connects to Notion's hosted MCP server at https://mcp.notion.com/mcp, which asks you to sign in with Notion (OAuth) the first time. It acts with your own Notion permissions.
