# Nibomo Flashcards

> Lets your agent quiz you on your Nibomo flashcards one card at a time, and create or edit cards and decks for you.

Nibomo's own MCP server. Nibomo is a free, open-source flashcards app with FSRS spaced repetition on the web, iOS and Android. With this server your agent can read your due cards, quiz you on them one question at a time and save each rating, and write or edit cards and decks for you.

What you can do with it
- Review due cards in the chat: the agent shows the question, reveals the answer after you've tried, and records Again, Hard, Good or Easy to the card's spaced-repetition schedule
- Narrow a review to one deck or to cards with certain tags
- Create cards and decks in bulk, with the question on the front and the answer on the back, so they're ready to review
- Find, edit or delete cards and decks
- See your workspaces, and check your plan's limits and this month's AI usage

How it connects
Nibomo hosts it at https://mcp.nibomo.com/mcp, and it's also in the Claude and ChatGPT directories. Add the address as a custom connector and sign in to your Nibomo account in the browser; it uses OAuth with dynamic client registration, so there's nothing to register first. For headless or CLI use, send an "Authorization: Bearer fca_…" header with an agent API key, which you get through the email login flow in Nibomo's API docs.

Good to know
- Reads and writes are split: six tools only read, and only sql_execute (cards and decks) and submit_review (one rating) change anything.
- Its SQL is a limited dialect, not full PostgreSQL. It reaches only your own workspace's cards, decks and review history, up to 100 rows a statement and 50 statements a batch, and a write batch applies all at once.
- Reviews are saved only through submit_review; SQL can't change review history or schedules.
- Nibomo is open source, and the same connector works against a self-hosted deployment.
