# NewDesk

> Work your NewDesk help desk from your agent: read the queue, answer and solve tickets, look up customers and refund in Stripe.

NewDesk's own MCP server for its help desk. Your agent reads the queue, answers customers, updates tickets and looks people up, and with Stripe connected it can refund invoices and cancel subscriptions. Everything it does happens as you, and shows on the ticket under your name.

What you can do with it
- See how the queue stands: open, pending, late, unassigned and solved today, and who's on the team
- List tickets by status or saved view, search them, and read one in full with its whole thread
- Reply to a customer on the channel the ticket came in on, and mark it solved in the same step
- Leave internal notes, change status, priority, owner and tags, and open a ticket for a customer
- Find customers by name, email or phone, and see their Stripe subscriptions and recent invoices
- Refund a paid Stripe invoice in full or in part, or cancel a subscription
- See the questions the desk's own assistant couldn't answer from the knowledge base, and ask that assistant what a customer would be told

How it connects
NewDesk hosts it at https://newdesk.ai/api/mcp. Agents that add a server by its address, such as Claude and ChatGPT, ask you to sign in to NewDesk and pick the workspace. For a config file, make a token under Integrations in NewDesk (it's shown once) and send it as a bearer token.

Good to know
- Refunds and cancellations move real money, so they're confirmed with you first.
- The billing, refund and cancel tools need Stripe connected to NewDesk.
- MCP tool calls are unlimited on every NewDesk license, the free one included.
