# Mintlify Docs MCP

> Search Mintlify's own documentation from your agent: setting up a docs site, the mint CLI, docs.json, components and pricing.

Mintlify Docs MCP is the search MCP server for Mintlify's own documentation, hosted by Mintlify. Your agent can look up how to set up, write and publish a docs site with Mintlify, and answer from the current docs instead of what it remembers.

What you can do with it
- Search Mintlify's docs on setup, the mint CLI, docs.json, components and pricing, with titles and links in the results
- Read whole pages as Markdown, and browse or pull sections from the docs and their OpenAPI specs with read-only, shell-style queries
- Report a docs page that's wrong, outdated, confusing or incomplete to Mintlify's docs team
- Load Mintlify's own skill for setting up, writing and publishing docs sites, which the server offers as a resource

How it connects
It's a hosted server at https://mintlify.com/docs/mcp. Add it to your agent as a remote (HTTP) MCP server. Mintlify's docs show how for Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, and name ChatGPT among the clients that can connect. There's no sign-in: it searches Mintlify's public docs.

Good to know
- Apart from sending feedback, it's read-only and covers only Mintlify's published docs.
- Mintlify hosts a search MCP server like this at /mcp for every docs site built on Mintlify. To edit your own Mintlify docs, Mintlify offers a separate admin MCP server.
