# Mercado Pago

> Scaffolds Mercado Pago checkout, QR, Point and subscription integrations, sets up webhooks and test users, and reviews your code.

Mercado Pago's own plugin for Claude Code. One agent works out your country and which API you're on, then hands off to one of four skills that scaffold, configure and review a Mercado Pago integration in your project. Scaffolding works offline from bundled references and Mercado Pago's official per-country docs; live account work goes through Mercado Pago's official MCP server, only when you pick an operation that needs it.

What its skills do
- mp-integrate: a wizard for Checkout Pro, Checkout API, Bricks, QR Code, Point, Subscriptions, Marketplace, Wallet Connect, Payouts and SmartApps, plus moving legacy in-store integrations to the Orders API
- mp-webhooks: a webhook receiver that checks HMAC-SHA256 signatures, and registering and diagnosing webhooks
- mp-test-setup: test users, test credentials and test cards, and adding funds to test users
- mp-review: a local security check, plus Mercado Pago's official quality checks and homologation

Commands
- /mp-integrate starts a new integration, with webhook and test-setup sub-modes
- /mp-review audits an integration: security, webhooks, checkout, QR, subscriptions, marketplace, quality or all of it
- /mp-test-cards gives a country's test cards, offline
- /mp-connect connects your Mercado Pago account or checks the connection

How to install it
In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add https://github.com/mercadopago/mercadopago-claude-marketplace.git, then /plugin install mercadopago@mercadopago-claude-marketplace.

How it connects
The plugin includes Mercado Pago's MCP server at https://mcp.mercadopago.com/mcp. You sign in with OAuth the first time you choose an operation that needs your account, such as importing credentials, creating test users, registering a webhook or running a quality check. There's no access token to set up.

Good to know
- It's in beta, and its skills and commands may change between versions.
- Which products you can use depends on your country, account and commercial enablement. It covers Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.
- A hook stops hardcoded Mercado Pago credentials from being written into your code, and blocks reads of .env files in Mercado Pago projects.
- That hook needs Python 3.8 or later. It runs on macOS and Linux; on Windows, use WSL.
