# MacroTape market brief

> Gives your agent a weekday brief of U.S. Treasury yields and dollar exchange rates, with daily history and webhook alerts on big moves.

MacroTape is a weekday market data brief built for AI agents. It covers the U.S. Treasury par yield curve and the U.S. dollar against every ECB reference currency, with numbers copied from the U.S. Treasury and the European Central Bank (via Frankfurter). Its hosted MCP server lets your agent read the latest brief, look up past briefs and daily history, and set up webhook alerts.

What you can do with it
- Read the latest brief: the Treasury par curve from 1 month to 30 years with basis-point moves, five curve spreads such as 2s10s, and a curve-shape label
- See every ECB currency against the dollar, with the top movers and dollar breadth
- Get the brief as one compact line of text or as full JSON
- Look up a past brief by date, in its morning or afternoon edition
- Pull daily history for one topic, such as the 10-year yield, a spread, a currency pair or MacroTape's DXY-style dollar index
- Register a webhook that gets a signed alert when the 10-year yield moves more than 10 bp or the DXY-style index moves more than 1% (paid plans)

How it connects
Add https://digest.atlasdynamics.space/mcp as a hosted server and send your MacroTape API key as an Authorization: Bearer header. A free trial key gives 100 requests a day; the paid API Light and Pro plans add more requests, longer history and webhook alerts. Two tools, list_topics and get_sample, work without a key. MacroTape documents setup for Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code, plus a bridge for agents that only run local servers.

Good to know
- Briefs come out on U.S. weekdays: a morning edition around 7 AM ET and an afternoon edition around 1 PM ET. Treasuries in the afternoon edition are still the prior close.
- Each section carries its own as-of time, and MacroTape asks agents to quote it.
- The DXY-style index is computed by MacroTape from ECB rates; it isn't the ICE U.S. Dollar Index.
- MacroTape is informational market data only, not investment advice. Data may be delayed, revised or wrong, so check the primary source before acting on it.

## Install

You'll need:

- `Authorization` (required): API key as 'Bearer <key>'. Required for get_latest_brief, get_brief_by_date, get_history and the webhook alert tools (alert tools need an API Light/Pro key); get_sample and list_topics work without it. Free trial key: https://digest.atlasdynamics.space/pricing.html#api-key

Replace each `<NAME>` placeholder with your own value.
