# Lusha Talent Sourcing

> Lusha for recruiters: find candidates who fit a role and may be open to a move, then reveal their contact details only when you ask.

Lusha Talent Sourcing is Lusha's own plugin for recruiters and talent acquisition teams. It connects your agent to Lusha's candidate data through a recruiting MCP server of its own, separate from the general Lusha MCP, and adds three skills that walk the agent through a sourcing workflow rather than a single search: source candidates for a role, keep a saved list current, and find who is in play after a leadership change.

What you can do with it
- Describe a role or paste a job description, and get an ordered shortlist of candidates who fit it and have been in their job long enough to be open to a move, each with a reason to approach them now
- Search by role, seniority, department, location, current and previous employer, and certifications
- Come back to a saved candidate list and see only what changed: who moved, who was promoted, who newly crossed the tenure threshold and what happened at their employer
- Find the people one level below an executive who just left or was replaced, each traced to the dated event
- Use employer news, such as headcount cuts, as a reason to reach out
- Save candidates to a list without revealing anything, then open emails or phone numbers only for the candidates you choose

How it's different from Lusha MCP
Lusha MCP is for sales and go-to-market teams, with prospecting tools. Lusha Talent Sourcing is built for recruiting: its tools have recruiter names such as talent_search and candidate_profile, a search returns candidates first, and contact details stay hidden until you choose who to reveal.

How it connects
- Install it in Gemini CLI with gemini extensions install https://github.com/lusha-oss/lusha-mcp-talent-sourcing-plugin. Lusha's repo also packages it for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and VS Code Copilot.
- It connects to Lusha's recruiting server at mcp-hr.lusha.com. You sign in to your Lusha account with OAuth the first time.

Good to know
- It needs a Lusha account with API access and Lusha's recruiting tools turned on for it. Search and list tools work without revealing contact details.
- Calls use the same Lusha credits as the rest of your Lusha usage. The skills ask a few scoping questions and say what a step will cost before spending: Lusha's reference puts an email at 1 credit and a phone number at 5, and reading back a saved list costs 1 credit per 25 rows.
- Ordering a shortlist uses only free fields, so it never spends credits.
