# Lovable

> Build, change and publish Lovable apps from your agent: create projects, send changes, review diffs and run the database.

Lovable's official MCP server, with its plugin for Claude Code. Connect your agent to Lovable, the AI app builder, and it can create projects, send change requests to a project's Lovable agent, read the code and diffs, work with the project's database and publish the app, from the chat you're already in.

What you can do with it
- Create a project from a prompt, optionally from a template or a design system, and get its editor and preview URLs
- Send messages to a project's Lovable agent, with plan mode for bigger changes, then review the diff of what changed
- Read a project's file tree, single files and edit history
- Publish a project to lovable.app and get the live URL, or remix a project into a copy
- Turn on a project's database, run SQL and get its connection details
- Read and set workspace and project knowledge, manage workspace skills and connectors, and see a published app's traffic

How it connects
The hosted server is at https://mcp.lovable.dev, and you sign in to Lovable with OAuth; there's no API key. Lovable documents setup for ChatGPT, Claude (Desktop and claude.ai), Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. Its Cursor setup also passes Lovable's public OAuth client ID, 6d465f583e1e4ce5801b1616f735670c.

The Claude Code plugin
Lovable's plugin bundles the same server with three commands: /lovable:build creates an app from a description and can deploy it, /lovable:iterate sends a change and shows the diff, and /lovable:db sets up or queries the database. Each one asks before it spends credits, publishes or writes data. Install it with /plugin marketplace add lovablelabs/mcp, then /plugin install lovable@lovable.

Good to know
- It works on every Lovable plan. On Enterprise workspaces, an admin turns on third-party MCP clients first.
- create_project and send_message use Lovable credits; the other tools are free.
- The connection can reach every project and workspace you can, within the scopes you approve.
- deploy_project publishes the app to a live URL, and query_database can read, write and change the schema.
