# Competitive Skills by LMTY

> LMTY's skills for competitive work: briefings, battlecards, deal prep, win/loss, positioning, pricing and launches, with dated sources.

Competitive Skills by LMTY is LMTY's own pack of agent skills for competitive go-to-market work. Ask in plain words, such as "Give me this week's competitive briefing", and your agent picks the matching skill and follows its method. Every skill works on its own. Connect LMTY, a service that tracks your product's competitors, and the skills start from your tracked competitors, what changed and the evidence behind it instead of a blank page.

What its skills cover
- Market intelligence: weekly competitive briefings, a deep dive on one competitor, market-shift analysis and briefs for leadership
- Positioning and messaging: pressure-testing your positioning against the alternatives buyers consider, and checking whether your homepage still sets you apart
- Pricing, launches and roadmap: what to look at before changing pricing, whether a launch is parity or real differentiation, and which competitor moves matter for your roadmap
- Sales: battlecards, answers to a live buyer objection, deal prep, POC and RFP plans, refreshed talk tracks and audits of stale competitive claims
- Win/loss analysis built from what buyers actually said

How to install it
In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add LMTYdotcom/skills, then /plugin install lmty@lmty-plugins. In Gemini CLI, run gemini extensions install https://github.com/LMTYdotcom/skills. LMTY's README also covers Codex, GitHub Copilot CLI and Cursor, and npx skills add LMTYdotcom/skills installs the skills alone into other agents.

Connecting LMTY
The pack comes with LMTY's MCP server (https://mcp.lmty.com/mcp) already set up. Your agent asks you to sign in to LMTY in your browser, or you can use an API token from your LMTY account settings. The connection is read-only, and connecting sends your requests to LMTY's server under its privacy policy and terms.

Good to know
- No skill needs LMTY to run. Without it, the skills research from public sources each time and say the answer is a snapshot.
- The skills write "not observed in the sources checked" rather than "does not have", put a date on every material claim, and keep observed facts apart from interpretation.
- The skills are free and MIT-licensed; LMTY's market tracking is a separate service.
