# Landbot

> Lets your agent build, edit, test and publish your Landbot chatbots and the AI agents they run, from a description in plain words.

Landbot is a no-code platform for chatbots and AI agents on websites, WhatsApp and other channels. Its MCP server, in beta, connects your agent to your Landbot account: describe the bot you want in plain words, and the agent reads the block catalog, creates the bot, wires its blocks, deploys it to test and publishes it once you say so.

What you can do with it
- Read your bots, their drafts and the block catalog (list_bots, get_bot, get_bot_draft, list_blocks, get_block_definition).
- Build and edit bots: create a bot, add, change and delete draft blocks, and apply or replace the draft (create_bot, update_bot, add_draft_blocks, update_draft_block, delete_draft_block, apply_draft_changes, replace_draft).
- Set up the AI agents your bots run, and teach them from text, public web pages and documents (create_ai_agent, save_ai_agent_draft, add_knowledge_text, add_knowledge_website, create_knowledge_document_upload).
- Use Google Sheets, SendGrid and Calendly blocks through accounts connected to your brand, and list spreadsheets, tabs, columns and Calendly event types (list_connected_accounts, start_account_connection, list_spreadsheets, list_calendly_event_types).
- Change how your web chat looks: custom CSS and JavaScript, the header title and avatar, the tab title and the hints (get_web_chat, update_web_chat).
- Upload media, deploy a bot to test, and publish bots and AI agents (create_media_upload, deploy_draft_to_test, publish_bot, publish_ai_agent).

How it connects
It's a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.landbot.io/mcp. The first time you connect, your agent opens Landbot's login (password or Google) and a consent screen. There's no token to copy, and you can sign up from the same screen. Landbot's docs give steps for claude.ai (a custom connector; on Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds it once for everyone), ChatGPT (a connector in developer mode), Claude Code and Codex.

Good to know
- It's in beta, so tools and their behaviour may still change.
- The agent acts with your account's permissions, on your brand. The consent screen asks for scopes covering bots, AI agents, integrations, web chats and scripts.
- Tools that change something ask for your approval, and the agent only deploys to test or publishes after you say yes.
- Connecting Google, Calendly or SendGrid happens in your browser through a link, so passwords and keys never pass through the chat.
- Uploading a file from your computer needs an agent that can run commands there, such as Claude Code or Codex. Anyone with an uploaded media file's link can open it.
- This is separate from Landbot's docs MCP at dev.landbot.io/mcp, which only searches the developer docs.
