# JumpCloud MCP

> Lets your agent find and manage JumpCloud users, devices, groups and SSO applications, from password and MFA resets to device commands.

JumpCloud's own MCP server for admins. It connects your agent to your JumpCloud organization, so you can look up and change users, devices, groups and SSO applications by asking in your own words. It offers tools built for AI clients around user and device management, Directory Insights, applications and groups, rather than the whole JumpCloud API.

What you can do with it
- Find and view users, admins, devices, groups, SSO applications and Directory Insights events
- Grant or revoke access, reset passwords and MFA, and suspend, unlock or reactivate users
- Send device commands such as lock, restart, shut down or erase
- Change user and device group memberships and SSO application access
- Check patch coverage, alerts, health rules and policies
- Act on many users, devices, groups and applications at once

How it connects
JumpCloud hosts it at https://mcp.jumpcloud.com/v1 (https://mcp.eu.jumpcloud.com/v1 for the EU data center and https://mcp.in.jumpcloud.com/v1 for India). An admin first turns it on in the Admin Portal under Settings > JumpCloud AI > MCP Server for admins. Sign in with OAuth: you're sent to JumpCloud to approve access. Agents that take headers can use a JumpCloud API key as a bearer token instead (Authorization: Bearer jca_...). Claude connects with OAuth only.

Good to know
You need a JumpCloud administrator account with API access, and the server acts with your permissions. It offers tools only, over Streamable HTTP. Managed service providers add ?organizationId=<child org ID> to the address to reach a child organization; in Claude, sign in as an admin of that child org instead. Admins can see and revoke connected OAuth clients and set when sessions expire, and requests made through MCP show up in Directory Insights. The Workflows tools are in public preview.
